American AF Dumpsters delivers roll-off dumpsters to Ferris, Texas — 15, 20, 30, and 40-yard containers, dropped where you need them, picked up when you’re done. Ferris counted 2,788 residents at the 2020 Census. Census Bureau estimates have since put it north of 3,300, and the city isn’t close to done. The South Creek Ranch development covers roughly 5,200 acres along the Loop 9 corridor with up to 5,000 homes planned, plus a northern section slated for data centers, manufacturing, and logistics. Ferris’s city manager has said flatly that the project will triple the size of the city.

The town was platted in 1874 and had roughly 1,600 people by the mid-1920s. The historic core around Town Plaza is genuinely old housing stock, and old housing stock means renovation: kitchen tear-outs, roof replacements, garage and estate cleanouts, decades of accumulation in outbuildings. A 15 or 20-yard container handles most of that comfortably.
Ferris earned the nickname Brick Capital of the Nation honestly — six brick plants were working local clay by 1914. Demo work in the older part of town turns up a lot of brick and masonry, and that matters for sizing. Brick, block, and concrete are heavy. If your load is mostly masonry, ask us about a concrete container instead of putting it in a general-debris box, because weight is what drives overage charges.

Ferris sits on Interstate 45 with SH 75 running through town as N Central Street. Our drivers come in on FM 983 from Waxahachie or drop down I-45 depending on where you are. Whether you’re in a new phase off I-45, downtown near Town Plaza, or out on acreage toward the county line, the truck gets there the same day it’s scheduled.
Ferris ISD covers the town — Hazel Ingram, Lucy Mae McDonald, and Lee Longino elementaries, Ferris Junior High, and Ferris High, home of the Yellowjackets. The district also reaches into Red Oak, Waxahachie, Bristol, Lancaster, and Trumbull, which is a decent map of where we’re already running containers.
Ferris was named for Judge Justus W. Ferris, a Waxahachie businessman, when the town was founded in 1874. We’re a Waxahachie company serving Ferris a century and a half later. Make of that what you will — but we’ve been running Ellis County long enough to know the roads, the subdivisions, and which driveways will take a loaded truck.

A 15-yard needs roughly 22 feet of length and about 8 feet of width, with overhead clearance for the container to tip. Most Ferris driveways handle it fine. If you’re in the older part of town with a narrow drive or a tight alley approach, tell us when you book and we’ll send the right truck.
General household junk, furniture, construction and demolition debris, roofing, yard waste, and appliances without refrigerant. Keep out tires, batteries, paint, chemicals, and anything with freon. Heavy material — concrete, brick, dirt, masonry — should go in a dedicated heavy container so you’re not paying general-debris tonnage on it.
