American AF Dumpsters rents roll-off dumpsters in Palmer, Texas. Palmer is the closest town to our yard — 12 miles up FM 878 from 802 Old Hwy 287 in Waxahachie, about a 21-minute run. Of every city we serve, this is the shortest trip our trucks make, which is exactly why we can be flexible on timing here.
Palmer counted 2,393 residents at the 2020 Census, with estimates around 2,500 since. It’s a small town by design — the city describes itself as country quiet with city access, and the housing reflects that. New construction here is limited: at last check a single builder was active in town, selling acre-lot floorplans.
What that means practically is that Palmer work looks different from the tract-home cleanups we run in the fast-growing suburbs. Here it’s property cleanouts, barn and outbuilding clear-outs, fence line debris, storm cleanup, long-deferred garage projects, and renovations on houses that have been standing a while. The historic core dates to the 1870s, and the town had a few hundred residents through most of the twentieth century — most of the housing predates the recent growth.
Acreage also means room. Placement is rarely the problem in Palmer that it is on a tight suburban lot. If you’ve got a driveway, a pad, or a firm patch of ground with clearance overhead, we can set a container on it.

Interstate 45 runs along the east side of Palmer with exits 258 through 260, and SH 75 runs through town. FM 878 is the direct connector to Waxahachie and the route our drivers usually take. Whether you’re in town, out toward the airport, or on acreage off a county road, tell us the approach when you book and we’ll send a truck that can make the turn.
Palmer ISD runs the schools — Palmer Elementary, Palmer Middle, and Palmer High, home of the Bulldogs. Small district, small town, and we like working in both.
Rural cleanups turn up things suburban ones don’t: old concrete pads, brick from a torn-down chimney, dirt from regrading, fence posts set in footings. All of that is heavy, and weight is what drives cost. If the bulk of your load is concrete, brick, or dirt, ask about a dedicated heavy-debris container. It’s usually cheaper than putting masonry in a general container and paying tonnage on it.
Palmer has its own brick history, incidentally — a press brick plant opened here in 1902 and worked local clay for decades. Old brick still turns up in demo around town.

Usually, yes — as long as the ground is firm and dry. A loaded roll-off is heavy, and soft ground is how trucks get stuck. If you’re unsure about your spot, tell us when you book and we’ll talk through it. We’d rather sort it out beforehand than have a driver turn around.
All standard work for us. Old lumber, sheet metal, furniture, insulation, general junk — all fine. Keep out tires, batteries, paint, chemicals, and appliances containing refrigerant.

The 15-yard includes 3 days; the 20, 30, and 40-yard include 7. Extra days are $10/day on the 15 and 20, $20/day on the 30 and 40. On acreage projects that stretch out, tell us up front and we’ll build the longer term into the booking.
