Porta Potty Rental ArlingtonWhere The Ordinance Says “Enough” And Nothing Else.

Arlington’s special events ordinance requires portable toilets in light of projected attendance, and then declines to give you a number — while allowing your permit to be denied if sanitation is judged inadequate. That is the problem we are actually solving here. Job sites, festivals and Entertainment District work, priced with the mileage quoted first.

The Ordinance Problem

Arlington Requires Restrooms. It Does Not Tell You How Many.

This is the single most useful thing to know about running an event in Arlington, and almost no vendor page mentions it.

What The Code Actually Says

Arlington’s Special Events chapter, Section 3.06(A), requires that portable toilets be provided to supplement available facilities “in light of the projected number of attendees and participants,” and that they comply with applicable health laws. There is no chart, no ratio, no per-attendee formula and no stated ADA share anywhere in the ordinance.

And What Happens If You Get It Wrong

Section 6.09(B)(3) allows a permit to be denied if adequate sanitation and other required health facilities are not available in or adjacent to the area. So the standard is a judgment call, and the downside of misjudging it sits with the organizer. That is exactly the situation where you want a vendor who sizes orders for a living rather than one who just drops units.

The Permit Clock Is 90 Days

A special event permit is required for a preplanned gathering expected to draw 500 or more people on public property. Applications are due at least 90 calendar days before the event, with estimated attendance confirmed at least 30 days out. Permitting moved online through ArlingtonPermits.com in August 2025.

You Get The Mileage Before You Book

Arlington is outside our 20-mile base zone, so an out-of-zone travel fee applies on top of the published $55 delivery. You get the figure with the quote, not on the invoice. Put a roll-off dumpster on the same site and the $55 delivery comes off entirely.

The Entertainment District

One Square Mile That Generates More Restroom Demand Than Most Cities

AT&T Stadium seats 80,000 and expands to roughly 100,000. Globe Life Field holds 40,300. Loews Arlington added 888 rooms and 266,000 square feet of meeting space in 2024. The district reported 15.6 million visitors and $2.8 billion in visitor spending in 2023.

The Grand Prix Of Arlington

IndyCar’s first Arlington race ran March 15, 2026 on a 2.73-mile temporary street circuit across a 36-acre venue, and it is confirmed back for March 19 through 21, 2027. The track alone takes about 29 days to build, with North Collins, Randol Mill, AT&T Way, Cowboys Way, Ballpark Way and Nolan Ryan Expressway closing in phases through race week. A month-long build inside a rolling closure is a scheduling problem before it is a sanitation problem.

Eight Cowboys Home Games Left This Season

Washington on September 20, Tampa Bay on October 8, Arizona November 1, San Francisco November 15, Tennessee November 22, Philadelphia on Thanksgiving November 26, Jacksonville December 27 and the Giants January 3. Tailgate lots, hospitality and vendor areas around those dates are their own market.

The New Loews On Ballpark Way

A projected $500 million-plus redevelopment replacing the Sheraton with a 507-room hotel, more than 83,000 square feet of meeting space and a 10,000-square-foot event barn. Sheraton demolition ran in early June 2026 with construction starting later in the summer and opening projected for late 2028 or early 2029.

E-Space At Arlington Municipal Airport

A satellite manufacturer’s North American headquarters on a 40-acre airport site, with the Arlington EDC describing a 480,000-square-foot manufacturing and office facility plus a hangar, groundbreaking in fall 2025 and estimated completion in spring 2027. The city is contributing $50 million toward construction.

Downtown Redevelopment

Council approved a Wolverine Interests mixed-use project in March 2026: minimum $60 million investment on 3.41 acres, at least 248 multifamily units and 15,000 square feet of commercial, with demolition due by December 15, 2026 and construction complete by September 15, 2029. Balfour Lofts, two Nehemiah Company blocks and Division St. Market are all in the same few blocks.

The Bonds

Arlington voters approved a $200 million city bond in May 2025, nearly $137 million of it for street rebuilds and maintenance. Arlington ISD passed $438.755 million and $30.955 million propositions in May 2026, funding a replacement South Davis Elementary, another new elementary and a new 18 PLUSS Center.

Standard Units From $175 Per 28 Days

ADA units, hand wash stations, event rates, long-term rates, extra service visits and relocation fees are all published in full — on one page, so you are not comparing numbers across five of them.

Beyond The Stadiums

Arlington’s Own Calendar Is Bigger Than People Assume

The stadium dates get the attention. The recurring civic calendar is where the repeat restroom work actually lives.

The Fourth Of July Cluster

The Arlington Independence Day Parade ran its 62nd year on July 4, 2026 with nearly 75,000 people and about 150 entries along a 1.5-mile downtown route. It does not run alone — the Firecracker 5K, Freedom Fest at the National Medal of Honor Museum, Star-Spangled Night at Six Flags and Light Up Arlington on July 5 all land in the same 36 hours.

Levitt Pavilion, April Through October

The Levitt Pavilion’s 19th season opened April 24, 2026 in downtown Arlington, running through mid-summer, resuming Labor Day weekend and continuing into late October, with most shows at 7:30 p.m. Downtown Arlington describes the venue as presenting over 50 free concerts a year. A recurring season is a service contract, not a one-off delivery.

Six Flags Seasonal Runs

Fright Fest runs select nights from September 11 to November 1, 2026, with Oktoberfest and Tricks and Treats on weekends across the same window, and Holiday in the Park from November 22 to December 30. Long seasonal runs with heavy weekend peaks are exactly what on-demand extra service visits are for.

Downtown’s Recurring Dates

First Thursdays run 5 to 8 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month across the district. The Downtown Arlington Farmers Market runs Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from March through November. Arlington marked its sesquicentennial in 2026, with the official 150th date on July 19 and events running through the year.

Arlington Questions

The things people here actually ask before they book.

The ordinance does not say. Section 3.06(A) requires portable toilets “in light of the projected number of attendees and participants” and nothing more specific — no chart, no ratio, no ADA share. Section 6.09(B)(3) lets the City deny a permit if sanitation is inadequate. Give us headcount, hours, alcohol and whether there are permanent restrooms on site, and we will size it to industry convention so you have a defensible number for your site plan.

At least 90 calendar days before the event for a gathering of 500 or more on public property, with estimated attendance confirmed at least 30 days out. Permitting runs through ArlingtonPermits.com. Book units early on Entertainment District dates — a stadium weekend does not leave much slack.

Yes, and that is mostly a scheduling conversation. Rangers parking lots open four hours before first pitch, so servicing has to finish before that. Grand Prix week phases closures across North Collins, Randol Mill, AT&T Way, Cowboys Way, Ballpark Way and Nolan Ryan over roughly a month. Tell us the gate or lot-open time and we will build the run backward from it.

Beyond 20 miles from our Waxahachie yard an out-of-zone travel fee applies on top of the published $55 delivery. Arlington is past that. You get the number with your quote, before you book. If we are already delivering a dumpster to the same site, the $55 delivery fee is waived.

Yes. On a big multi-day event daily service is normal rather than an upsell, and off-schedule visits are $55 each. For a weekend run we would rather set the service schedule during planning than react to it on Saturday afternoon.

Yes. ADA units are quoted on request and hand wash stations are $135 per 28 days. Arlington’s ordinance does not specify an ADA share, but accessibility obligations do not disappear just because the City did not print a ratio — plan on at least one accessible unit per grouping.
