Fort Worth does not publish a restroom count for events. What it does require, once you expect 100 people, is an adequate number of restrooms, mobility-impaired accessible units, and a split of not less than two to one women’s to men’s. “Adequate” is your judgment call. Four separately lockable suites is a tidy way to make it.
People say Fort Worth has no restroom requirements. That is half right, and the half that is wrong is the half on the application form.
We read Chapter 20 and the City’s Outdoor Events guidelines looking for a number. There is no count per attendee, no ADA percentage and no handwashing requirement anywhere in the ordinance. The code asks for compliance with plumbing, sanitation and sewage disposal requirements and for adequate sanitation to be available in or adjacent to the event, and leaves it there.
At 100 or more anticipated attendance, the Outdoor Events application requires an adequate number of restrooms including mobility-impaired accessible units at the event holder’s expense, toilet facilities designated by gender at a ratio of not less than two to one women’s to men’s, and a copy of your rental order with delivery dates, times and location filed with the Outdoor Events office.
A two-to-one split is awkward to hit with a row of identical units. Four private single-occupancy suites, each with its own lock, can be designated however the event needs — and reassigned on the day if the crowd skews. That is a practical advantage, not a marketing one.
Placing a portable toilet is itself what triggers the permit, and the site plan has to show the exact location. The ordinance then gives you four hours to move a unit after notice and twenty-four hours to remove one. On a long job that means your vendor has to be reachable, not just cheap.
Fort Worth weddings happen on working ranches and in a 98-acre historic district built around livestock. Neither was designed around restroom capacity for 300 guests.
Listed on the National Register in 1976 and covering 98 acres north of downtown. River Ranch Stockyards publishes 5,000 guests across 20,000 square feet, Stockyards Station 1,500, and Hotel Drover’s Barn up to 225. Lonesome Dove Courtyard sits at the other end at 40 guests, outdoors on Marine Creek.
Diamond H3 Ranch in Weatherford runs 100 acres with a hilltop outdoor ceremony site, an open-air chapel and a cedar barn for up to 300. Hollow Hill Event Center sits on 80 acres for 250 seated. The Springs in Weatherford publishes 320 seated across a ranch and an estate mansion.
The Bowden in Keller publishes 500-plus with a garden chapel, The Laurel in Grapevine 300 with a dance floor, and The Nest at Ruth Farms in Ponder runs 37 acres with two ponds and a barn reception from 50 to 240. Further out, and quoted with the job.
One hundred and twenty acres, seven facilities, four of them equestrian or livestock arenas, a 5,652-seat coliseum and over two million visitors a year. Three major National Cutting Horse Association events, the Snaffle Bit Futurity and the World Championship Paint Horse Show run there annually. That is an entire industry on one campus.
Full build sheet — tank capacities, dimensions, power, weight — plus interior photos and a calculator that runs your guest count and hours against published code tables to tell you whether four suites is enough. All of it on the main trailer page rather than repeated here.
See Specs & Size Your EventFort Worth’s event calendar is bigger and more western than anywhere else in the Metroplex.
Twenty-three days from mid-January to early February, with the exposition at Will Rogers since 1944 and the rodeo at Dickies Arena since 2020. Attendance topped 1.27 million in 2023, a record year. A twenty-three-day run is a service contract, not a delivery.
A record 29,000 runners in 2026, starting on Gendy Street in front of Will Rogers and finishing inside it. Race weekend plus a Friday expo, in late February, when heat in a restroom matters more than air conditioning.
Mayfest draws about 200,000 people over four days in 33-acre Trinity Park on the first weekend of May. The MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival runs April 16 through 19, 2026 across 18 downtown blocks, free, with more than 200 jury-selected artists. Both are on public ground and both carry the permit process.
Stockyards Championship Rodeo has run at the 1908 Cowtown Coliseum almost every Friday and Saturday since 1992 — Visit Fort Worth calls it the world’s only year-round rodeo. The Fort Worth Herd drives longhorns down East Exchange Avenue twice a day, every day, at 11:30 and 4.
The trailer handles the guests you want it to handle. For overflow, vendors, crew, or the ADA units a permitted event requires, we run standard portable restrooms and hand wash stations off the same yard — and roll-off dumpsters if the site needs those too.

The run is US-287 northwest out of Waxahachie. Fort Worth is well outside the zone where we publish a flat rate, so travel gets quoted with the job and held.
Somewhere not on this list? Call it in — we travel further for a long-term placement than we do for a Saturday. See the full trailer page.
The things planners and contractors here actually ask before they book.
Not a count, no. There is no per-attendee ratio in the ordinance and no handwashing requirement. But at 100 or more anticipated attendance the Outdoor Events application does require an adequate number of restrooms, mobility-impaired accessible units, a ratio of not less than two to one women’s to men’s, and a copy of your rental order filed with the Outdoor Events office.
Each of the four is a separate single-occupancy room with its own lock, so they can be designated however the event needs and reassigned on the day. Tell us your expected crowd and we will help you lay the designations out on the site plan.
No. It is entered by steps. Where the application calls for mobility-impaired units we supply ADA-compliant portable restrooms alongside the trailer so the requirement is actually met.
Sixty days for a parade, run or walk under 500 attendees, 120 days for events of 500 to 2,500, and 210 days for 2,500 or more inside the Downtown Outdoor Events District. The Office of Outdoor Events lists a $300 permit fee plus a refundable deposit — confirm current figures with them before you budget.
For planned work, because the trip is scheduled and the price is fixed before you book. For a wedding or a long construction placement that is a fine trade. For a same-hour emergency across the Metroplex a closer yard will serve you better, and we will say so.
Yes. It carries 200 gallons of fresh water on board, which is what makes Parker County ranch properties workable. Power is the thing to settle early — it runs on 30-amp shore power, and where a property cannot reach that we arrange a generator at booking.
Four private suites, flush toilets, running water, A/C and heat — and a vendor who has actually read what the Outdoor Events application asks you to provide.
